Brahms Sonata in Dmaj Op78
Schumann Adagio and Allegro, Op70
Brahms Sonata in Fmaj Op99
Richard Jenkinson (cello) and Benjamin Frith (piano) return to Shropshire to unlock the secrets of the complete music for cello and piano by Johannes Brahms alongside his friend and mentor Robert Schumann.
The duo will again be joined by the renowned musicologist Richard Wigmore who will provide fascinating insights into the works during illustrated study sessions before each performance. Richard Jenkinson and Benjamin Frith have been playing together for over twenty years and have performed in many of the country’s most prestigious venues.
“A wonderful opportunity to gain an insight into and then hear the two masters output... The excellent day was notable too for the very close partnership between the artists, the nice dose of humour in the talks, and an excellent buffet!” Shropshire Star (A Beethoven Experience 2019)
