We are delighted to announce our new concert season starting on 1st October 2022 through to June 2023: Our long-time favourites – such as the Carducci String Quartet with three concerts and Ex Cathedra with two concerts – return, as does accordionist Miloš Milivojević who so impressed us in his Shropshire Music Trust debut last season.
A special concert sees the first full performance of A Shropshire Lass - a semi-staged song cycle for soprano and guitar, setting the poetry of Shropshire-born Mary Webb. After a few years' break, we welcome back the European Union Chamber Orchestra with a programme including Bach and Elgar and also celebrates Vaughan Williams' 150th anniversary. We greet several newcomers to our programme: jazz musicians Tim Garland and Jason Rebello in their Life to Life Tour; a unique fusion of Latin and Classical from Latino Classico; the Mela Guitar Quartet; Roderick Williams and Susie Allan bring us a celebrity song cycle and The Classical Piano Trio highlight the musical world of Dr Charles Burney.
