It is with deep sadness that the Trustees of Shropshire Music Trust have to announce that the Chairman of the Trust, David Waterhouse, died in hospital this week from complications following surgery.

David had been Chairman of the Music Trust for some years, and had steered the Trust through the difficult period following Covid.

David was an inspiring figure who successfully oversaw the re-launch of the Trust's activities. always guiding the Trustees and Artistic Team with a gentle and wise touch. He will be greatly missed, and plans will be made to organise a suitable tribute to David in the fullness of time.

Our sympathy and heartfelt condolences go to his wife Verena and all of David and Verena's family.
