2021-22 Season - a montage of some more of the performers

Further to our previous news release, please put these confirmed concert dates in your diaries, all of which are in Shrewsbury:

8th October 2021 at 7.30pm: The Carducci Quartet at the Lion Hotel. The first in a series of three “Vienna to Moscow” concerts of string quartets, this one includes Beethoven, Shostakovich and Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden”.

19th November at 7.30pm: The Carducci Quartet at the Lion Hotel. “Vienna to Moscow” - Concert two: Haydn, Shostakovich and Beethoven.

3rd December at 7.30pm: Ex Cathedra Christmas by Candlelight at St Chad’s.

14th January at 7.30pm: Fretwork in St Alkmund’s – Music by Purcell, Locke and William Lawes.

4th February at 7.30pm: The Carducci Quartet in their last “Vienna to Moscow” performance, featuring Schubert, Beethoven and Shostakovich.

CHANGE: 25th February at 7.30pm: Trish Clowes (saxaphone) and Ross Stanley (piano), jazz musicians perform original compositions and arrangements at the Maidment Building, Shrewsbury School

11th March at 7.30pm: Moishe’s Bagel at the Prestfelde Theatre, Prestfelde School, featuring Eastern and Middle European dance music.

23rd April at 7.30pm: Lizzie Ball (violin) and Miloš Milivojević (accordion) at the Prestfelde Theatre, Prestfelde School.

NEW! 19th May at 1.00pm: Michael Poll (guitar) performs Bach's lute suites in this lunchtime recital at the Unitarian Church.

NEW! Shropshire Music Trust Young Artists Recital, 28th May at 7.30pm: Anthony Poon (violin) and Galin Ganchev (piano) perform works by Schubert, Enescu and Wieniawski.

14th June at 8.00pm: Ex Cathedra Summer Concert at St Chad’s.
