Carducci String Quartet

The Quartet in formal wear standing without their instruments.
The Carduccis return for the second of three concerts this season

Mozart: String Quartet No.19 in C major, K.465 ‘Dissonant’
Glass: String Quartet No. 3 ‘Mishima
Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 2 in A major, Op. 68 no. 2

In addition to one of Mozart's most famous quartets, the Carduccis will focus on two composers with whom they've become inextricably associated: the Soviet master Dmitri Shostakovich and the American Minimalist Philip Glass.

We are delighted to welcome back this internationally renowned Anglo-Irish string quartet for their second concert this season. The versatile and award-winning Carducci String Quartet has performed everything from brand new quartets, classic works by Haydn and the complete Shostakovich cycles.
