The launch of our new season was a memorably enjoyable evening at St Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury, and set the scene for the forthcoming year.
The attendees had a delightful evening of chat with fellow music lovers whilst enjoying delicious canapés along with a glass or two. They were then entranced and astonished by a 25-minute performance on St Mary’s new Kawai GX5 grand piano, given by an accomplished and aspiring young pianist, Joanna Carmalt.
She performed by heart works by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov and Kapustin. A musician to keep an eye – and an ear – on.
